Knowing and accepting your accomplishments

11 08 2013

Can you name some of the tasks you do so easily that you don’t think twice about them? These things are so organic to you that they are almost like breathing. You do them automatically.

Folks use these skills at work and often believe that anyone can do them. Here’s a revelation: “anyone” can’t. Sure, many people have similar skill sets. However, your combination of individual skills and competencies are unique to you.

It’s time to pay attention — to identify and stay mindful of your skills, and to accept how special they are. Know without a doubt — almost organically — your workplace contributions. Then find a way to be able to share them with others.
